Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) announced the launch of the Royal Floria Putrajaya (RFP) 2019 at the Royal Floria Putrajaya Pre-Launch Ceremony in Botanical Gardens, Precinct 1.

The 2019 RFP, which enters its 11th edition of the event, will be held at the Putrajaya Botanical Gardens, Precinct 1 from August 31 to September 8, 2019 from 10am to 10pm. Themed 'Mother Of All Gardens', this year's festival will feature orchids and bonsai as a festival theme flower.

The main aim of the RFP 2019 is to strengthen and brand Putrajaya's image as 'Flower City'. Organising the festival is an initiative of PPj to expand the tourism sector and create more business opportunities especially in the horticulture and floriculture industry.

In keeping with the theme highlighted, RFP 2019 will showcase 1 million flowers in a wide range of colours including over 500 varieties of orchid species, over 100 bonsai collections, 79 theme parks with a variety of themes and designs. In addition to landscape and floriculture exhibits, guests will also have access to over 100 daily activities including edutainment, workshops and demonstrations including Floria Fun Run, Aerobicthon themed Glow In The Dark, Floral Fashion Show, Garden Talk, floral arrangements, Royal cuisine, guest artist performances and more.

There are 5 countries participating in the festival namely Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia. During the 9 days of the festival, an estimated 500 thousand visitors will attend.

Admission fee to RFP 2019 for citizens is RM5 for adults while RM3 for disabled, children and senior citizens. For foreigners, the ticket price is RM10 for adults and RM6 for the disabled, children and the elderly. The organisation of the RFP 2019 this time also has the support of the Ministry of Territory, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia and the Department of Landscape.
